Having been born and raised in the Northern part of India, it is a bliss for me to be a part of so many happy festivals. Baisakhi or Vaisakhi, as popularly known, is the festival that marks the onset of Harvest - all the seeds that you’d sown, nurtured and waited to ripen, are now ready for the harvest.
Harvesting is not just an agricultural activity but also a life lesson. How I see it, is to have all the fruits of your hard work ripe and ready to be picked. Farmers are the most hardworking and patient beings of all, I believe. They sow, they nurture and then wait endlessly. A crop cannot be harvested until it is the right time or one cannot be lazy when it is the time to harvest.
It would be a life-changing experience if we start looking at every activity that we do, it could be learning a new skill, or studying something specifically, and practice it the way a farmer does! What do you think about it?
